Throw Out Fifty Things

Yes, it was only day 2 when I felt the whine first coming on...
But, I'm working 6+ days a week, I'm not going to be home until after 8:30 pm this evening, surely missing one day...
I'm sure this has never happened to you.

I made a deal with myself, the goal was one sock drawer before bedtime. That one task led into emptying all of my drawers in the bedroom (and the hope-chest) last night. By bedtime I had a bag of trash, a bag to donate, and a bag of rags.

You probably noticed that I said "my drawers." This process is difficult enough, I'm going to focus on my clutter first before worrying about anyone else's. (Removing the log from my eye before worrying about splinters elsewhere.)

Today I mailed some of the former jewelry cabinet denizens to a friend. I hope they give her some joy.

Jennifer, you could be the poster girl for "Throw Out Fifty Things"! And of course, we all feel a "whine coming on" from time to time. I love your idea of starting with a small task and taking energy from that so you can move on to other areas. And I love your "removing the log..." line. I'll have to quote you.

Keep going and keep posting.
