Throw Out Fifty Things

My husband and I were blessed by being without power for only 4 days.  We spent our candlelit nights playing scrabble wearing parkas, ear muffs and hats.  We listened to our transistor radio and felt such pride in Gov. Christy’s leadership.  We visualized the devastation at the Jersey shore through the descriptions told to us on the radio.  When our power came on, Don and I danced the “Snoopy dance” in our living room.  We are grateful for our blessings.

Having a clutter free home made it so much easier to locate everything that we needed during the power outage.  We knew exactly where to find the flashlights, candles, matches, and bottled water. We have the Public Service phone number taped to the inside of a kitchen cabinet near the landline.
