Throw Out Fifty Things

Avoiding the elephant does not make it go away...

In cases such as mine, one day you look in the mirror and you have become the elephant. No it's not that you will see me on posted the covers of the tabloids under the head line "The Incredible Elephant Woman!" Featuring a very photoshopped grey toned face on a circus elephants body (or vise-versa). I just noticed today just how much everything that I have let go has taken it's toll on me! Instead of being able to enjoy my clutter free home and life, I have somehow managed to gather more clutter and discord. And my load now makes me feel like I am as heavy and clumsy as an elephant, bumping up against everything as I continue wondering aimlessly. So now that I have admitted to myself and the world I can't carry it, I can begin to move on...

I think it happens while you are not looking at the BIG PICTURE! Things that we need to do immediately become the focus and suck up all our time and thoughts creating tunnel vision. Everything else is then outside the walls of our attention. So just by the nature of the beast, things continue to pile up on us. I personally am guilty of wallowing in the moment (good or bad) and spending time I could have used to accomplish my desired results. Not too mention the exhaustion caused by the vicious circle of carrying the load. Current status, breaking out of the tunnel...
