Amex-OPEN Women's Business Summit-Day2-Today was the day I needed!

AGGHHH! Are you kidding?? I don't even know where to start, Gail Blanke spoke again today and she is just a wealth of inspirational proverbs. I was just about moved to tears when she started talking about the voices from the past....mmmhhmmhhmm(shaking my head side to side). Over the last year going through this starting my own business process I have been overwhelmed at times by these voices from my past which are appropriately enforced by images of memories I'd like to let go of, and until today I couldn't really shake them. I just didn't know how & to be honest, I thought I might be losing it, so I was afraid to ask anyone else if they did that. The hunny bunny, he knows that I go through this whole process of feeling good about a decision, then 5 minutes later talk myself into believing it was the worst thing I could have done. It drives him nuts, turns out I just needed Gail to be the one to say..."Let Go of the voices! Do, Be something great!" Then when she said "You gotta have a theme song!" Whaaaat! I don't have just one, honey I got several! But at the moment if I had to pick just one, it would have to be Fountains of Wayne, "Tell Me What You Already Did". Ok, alright, a close secong would be Clare Fader & The Vaudevillains, "Betty Crocker's Bail" & finally third would be Sideshow Tramps, "John Went Up To Heaven".

My Favorite Quote for today:
"The world doesn't belong to the person who fits in, it belongs to the one who stands out."
-Gail Blanke

We got to meet so many more new and interesting people today, very exctiting. And as much as I hate to cut this short, I'm gonna have to I have a meet up tommorrow morning and I've been up since 1:30 this morning. I'm sure I'll think of more I want to add in the morning either way I'm tuckered out.
