Not only do I have 50 years of my own photos, I inherited all my parents' family photos as well. The task of sorting and saving and throwing out is so intimidating, so overwhelming, I don't want to open the first box. I've carried this 'weight' for years. What can I do?

First, Categorize the pics to subjects.
Have a picture sorting party with interested relatives, and send them home happy. There are some who have sentimental memories, and a group effort is valuable as to laughs, memories, and tears. Play music with this. Pray and give thanks to the Lord for whatever good traits, influences were passed through the generations.
Finally, with the OLD pictures, you may think of donating them to a museum. Some folk love history!
