Joanne, I'm so glad you've joined us! It sounds like you could teach us all a few things about "letting go." I also think that given the current state of the economy, we're all adapting a frugal, "Do I really need it?" or "Couldn't someone else use this?" attitude. I'm a great advocate of "paying it forward" and as we get rid of our extra stuff, it feels awfully good to pass it on. I love your upbeat attitude. So what have you throw out lately?
I can't stand clutter and have always been able to gather some sort of sanity by getting rid of "stuff." Stuff is an energy drain and I desire all the energy I can get.
I read a book a couple of years ago that had a chapter on the healing (my words) of getting rid of. It was important reality testing to see this in print.
You see I'd been called obsessive compulsive, perhaps too poor (starving artist) to have the latest and greatest of everything. No, I like to see where I am when I'm there and not distracted by a thousand useless things.
Right now I'm counting on natures abhorring of a vacuum to fill new friends and love results I am sure of my most recent clearing out.
